Premier League side West Ham United look set to continue the decent relationship they have established with Manchester United as they are targeting another one of the Red Devils stars. The London club confirmed that they agreed a loan deal to sign midfielder Jesse Lingard from Old Trafford in the summer with the view of the England international star spending the rest of the season with the Hammers.
His goal involvements in the games he has played for his temporary club have been astonishing and there are reports making the rounds that David Moyes wants him to continue playing for West Ham beyond the expiration of his current loan deal. According to the Daily Mail, United are braced for a fee around the region of £20 million for the permanent transfer of Lingard to West Ham, but that may be one of at least two deals that the London club want to seal with United.
The Daily Mail also reported that the Hammers want to hand Spanish midfielder Juan Mata an escape route from his fading career at Old Trafford with the report claiming that Moyes is a fan of the midfielder and wants him in London.
Moyes was the manager who signed Mata for Manchester United from Chelsea back in 2014 after he was appointed as the club’s manager following the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson. It now looks like Moyes wants a reunion with his very first signing at United, and this summer would be the perfect time for him to make the move.
