Premier League club West Ham United have continued to express just how much interest they have in signing Jesse Lingard from Manchester United this summer. The Hammers are already known to be long-term admirers of the England international midfielder and they have continued to make it clear that they would like to have him swap Manchester for London in the future. After spending the entirety of last season on loan at Upton Park, Lingard immediately became a fans’ favorite for the immense contributions he made to the team as they unexpectedly secured European football at the end of the season.
West Ham midfielder Declan Rice is a reported target for Manchester United and they could use the Hammers’ interest in Lingard as an opportunity to get their man in return. Rice is valued at £100 million by West Ham and it’s a fee that United are very much unwilling to pay, especially after already completing a deal for Jadon Sancho this summer.
Solksjær is a fan of Rice and could ask for the England international midfielder in return if he is going to let Lingard go the opposite way.
